The Meyer Senior Living Studio saw the culmination of hard work and passion come to life with major grand openings and a re-grand opening at new and renovated senior living communities in 2018. Two, ground-up Capitol Seniors Housing’s properties in New Jersey opened their doors to new residents while an in-depth renovation and reprogramming effort at Atria Center City in Philadelphia capped an impressive year of architecture and interior design projects within the studio.
The Meyer Senior Living Studio participated in multiple groundbreakings in 2018, spreading its geographic footprint with new projects from New York State to Florida. Our commitment to design integrity represents a cumulative approach to project delivery by providing a full spectrum of expertise from site test fits and concept design all the way through documentation and building operation. Meyer’s thoughtful collaboration with an array of national development teams and stakeholders continues to grow across the country.
The 2018 calendar was full of national and local senior living conferences and engaging industry events. With more than 2,000 educational sessions submitted, Meyer was selected to speak at the 2018 LeadingAge Annual Meeting & Expo. Meyer’s curated panel featured national industry experts on the increasingly important topic of sustainability and wellness in senior living. Furthermore, the Meyer team took a deeper dive into how a senior living community operates. Their inquisitive and exploratory sleepover study looked at the effect that the design of a space has on its residents and staff.
In 2018, Meyer took its talents and expertise in senior living design to a new level. Through national speaking engagements and awards, the Meyer Senior Living Studio garnered recognition as one of the country’s top design firms. In particular, the Environments for Aging acknowledged Meyer as a Top 3 finalist for their national remodel/renovation competition.
