Siena Luxury Residences

The Meyer Senior Living Studio Interiors Team helped celebrated the firm’s first active adult, 55+ age-restricted community project at the Siena Luxury Residences in Cinnaminson, NJ. Developer, Capitol Seniors Housing, completed construction of a new clubhouse and two of the remaining five residential buildings at Siena, and is currently working to complete the community’s master plan that will consist of 12 buildings and 204 units upon full build-out. The new residences range from 1,114 to 1,873 square feet. Capitol Seniors Housing acquired Siena in 2018, and Cove Property Management operates the community.

The completion of phase one of construction was celebrated in November with a “Salute to Hometown Heroes” grand opening event featuring a parade that included the township’s police and fire departments, local dignitaries, and the Cinnaminson High School marching band.

“Completing this major milestone is exciting for our company, Cinnaminson Township, Siena’s residents, and for older adults in the area who are seeking an Active Living community experience,” said Michael Hartman, Principal – Active Living, Capitol Seniors Housing. “Siena offers an amazing quality of life experience and Cinnaminson Township is an ideal area for retirees to live. Active Living communities like Siena are ideal for adults who are ready to downsize, want to live near neighbors like themselves, but are not quite ready for the more traditional independent senior living community.”

The Chelsea at Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Grand OpeningLocated in vibrant Shrewsbury, New Jersey, The Chelsea At Shrewsbury is a brand new, 3-story, 85-unit, 73,000 SF Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care community developed by Capitol Seniors Housing and operated by Chelsea Senior Living. Situated along the northern New Jersey coastline in Monmouth County, Shrewsbury is an affluent suburban shore town and a desirable location to live, work and play.

The design aesthetic of the Chelsea at Shrewsbury nods towards the colonial architecture found throughout Shrewsbury, while incorporating a modern flare. The exterior is reminiscent of an old bay inn with the building’s corner anchored with an octagonal tower capped with a high-pitched roof complete with eyebrow windows. The façade is enhanced with stone, similar to what can be found in the local area, as well as faux wood cedar shakes popular with old shore houses.

Upon entry, the vast lobby is highlighted by a magnificent two-story fireplace, signature staircase, and well-appointed and inviting furniture. Designers focused on creating a warm and welcoming space with bold interior patterns and colors to create a lively atmosphere. The combination of mixed metals, reclaimed wood and colorful blue and yellow palette gives the community a signature look and feel right from its doorstep. By adding these highly detailed and thought-out design elements to the exterior and interior of the community, the building pays homage to the heritage and culture of a community revered for its deep historic roots and serene lifestyle.

“After the entitlement process, demolition of a vacant nursing home, and construction of our new community, we’re … opening the first new, modern assisted living residence built in Shrewsbury since 2000,” said Scott Stewart, managing partner of Capitol Seniors Housing.
