We’re proud to have collaborated with long time client @independencebluecross to create a new, inspiring space within their Joseph A. Frick Conference and Learning Center, which is a hub for associates and guests. Meyer created a more modern atmosphere to support Independence’s collaborative, creative process.

Independence Blue Cross partnered with @tinyroomforelephants to curate a new art initiative with local artists and art teacher Serena Saunders, @mspassionart – and recently revealed the 10-painting collection showcased in the Joseph A. Frick Conference and Learning Center.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, self-improvement, kindness, and spirituality. Fasting is a key pillar - those observing Ramadan fast from dawn to dusk. The dates of Ramadan are determined by the lunar calendar – this year it started April 1 and will conclude May 1.

Our very own Dan King and Shannon Remaley, as well as Dave Ennis from Capitol Seniors Housing will present “The Next Chapter: Adaptive Reuse Conversions into Senior Living Communities” at session E31 - Tuesday, April 05, 2022 - 8:30 AM.

The team will share how to overcome senior living operational and programmatic challenges - and walk attendees through case studies that demonstrate adaptive reuse options and approaches.

Meyer is thrilled to work with Acts Retirement-Life Communities Buckingham’s Choice campus in Adamstown, Maryland to reinvigorate and activate outdoor spaces.

Located on 42 scenic acres, ACTS Buckingham’s Choice is a retirement community that provides the highest quality lifestyle and amenities. Improvements include a new fishing pier, outdoor kitchen and dining area, turf areas for fitness, yoga, bocce and petanque courts, and a pavilion for outdoor movies and performances. Improved sidewalks, paths, and landscaping features will tie these beautiful spaces together.

The construction of these improvements is estimated to finish the end of this year.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Meyer celebra

In honor of Women’s History Month, Meyer celebrates design visionary Maya Lin.

When asked about her process, "My work originates from a simple desire to make people aware of their surroundings … this can include not just the physical - but the psychological world that we live in."

Lin is perhaps best known for her groundbreaking 1982 design of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a space powerful in its simplicity that has become a national symbol of healing. Lin has since designed spaces, memorials, buildings, and furniture that reflect her interest in culture, landscapes and environmental sustainability. Notable works include the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery Alabama, The Museum of the Chinese in America (MOCA) in New York City, and the vibrant Maya Lin Stone, created for @knoll in 1998.
