Harmony at Morgantown Now Open

The 8.9-acre location presented site and building design challenges. The new community nestled into the side of a hill provides a warm, safe and attractive environment for its residents. The architectural design featuring an organic exterior palette is inspired from local hillside farmsteads and Monongahela River mills, that accentuate the natural elements of stone and wood. The large wood truss porte-cochere and dormers give the four-story building a warm and cozy mountain lodge impression. Amenities include an elegantly appointed dining area, library, fitness center, beauty salon, theater, arts and craft studio, and well-landscaped outdoor courtyards. Meyer served as Architect of Record for the community, providing architecture design, construction administration and visualization services to Smith/Packett. Smith/Packett has developed or acquired more than 150 long-term and senior housing facilities throughout the country with their recent expansion into the Mid-Atlantic. Meyer has completed or is currently in-design for 15 Smith/Packett-led senior housing facilities.
